"Basically my art is about life through the eyes of a child, an adolescent, a woman, a Black woman, and a Black person. It is about Life and Death. Loves and Loss.  Heaven and Hell and the fine line in between. My work is for the agnostic. It is for everyone who knows the difference between Arkansas and Texas. . . for everyone who has seen a hero fall from grace; for everyone who has forgotten how to cry. . .  who has felt the sting of hate, the tear of flesh, or the confusion of a wavering faith."
